Meet Kemia International Ltd. We are an East African company based in Nairobi, specialising in chemicals for all walks of life – especially the so called Speciality Chemicals.

Kemia International Ltd. is located within the High Chem complex on Mogadishu Road, off Lunga Lunga Road in Nairobi’s industrial area, where we have sales offices, a modern German built speciality chemicals plant and warehousing facilities.

Our trading partners are spread throughout the five continents, more so with the European Union countries. In Africa, we are very active in the COMESA region (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa). In our broad based business activities, we are spearheading the realisation of the NEPAD dream (New Partnership for Africa’s Development) which will truly usher in the African renaissance. Our products in particular are the products of choice at the export processing zones (EPZ) , where stringent products specifications are required, especially under the American sponsored programme AGOA – African Growth and Opportunity Act.

The core of our business activities is in the Eastern Africa region. Business in Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan is handled directly by our offices in Nairobi. We have agencies for our markets in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Kemia International Ltd. are the official regional agents of Clariant, headquartered in Muttenz, Switzerland. Clariant is among the largest Speciality Chemicals companies in the world. As such, Kemia operations are structured in a similar manner as those of Clariant Business Units. This helps to harmonise our business strategies and targets with those of our Principals.
